שותפות תל אביב לוס אנג'לס פועלת מאז שנת 1997 כיוזמה משותפת של הפדרציה היהודית של לוס אנג'לס, עיריית תל אביב-יפו והסוכנות היהודית. מטרת השותפות היא העמקת תחושת השייכות לעם היהודי וחיזוק הקשר בין הקהילה היהודית בלוס אנג'לס לתושבי תל אביב-יפו. במסגרת פרוייקט זה מתקיימת שותפות בין בית הספר תיכון חדש תל אביב לבין New Community Jewish High School אשר בלוס אנג'לס. תוכנית תיכון חדש – New Community Jewish High School מאפשרת מפגש ארוך ומשמעותי בין שתי קהילות יהודיות אשר מקיימות אורח חיים השונה מהותית, מתוקף הנסיבות בהן הן חיות. הקשר היהודי, הזיקה, השייכות ושותפות הגורל הם הגשרים המחברים, בין שני העולמות.
Los Angeles-Tel Aviv School Twinning Program is coordinated by the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles and the Municipality of Tel Aviv. Established in 1997, The Jewish Federation’s Tel Aviv-Los Angeles School Twinning Program connects schools in Los Angeles and Tel Aviv. The goal of this program is to foster and create ongoing relationships and dialogue between the citizens and institutions of both cities in order to benefit both communities. Educationally, the Partnership's goals are to reinforce students' Zionist and Jewish identities. Joint curricular projects constitute the basis for dialogue and integration.This powerful initiative has impacted 60,000 students, parents, and faculty through jointly prepared curricula, teacher trainings, and delegation exchanges. Visiting students live with a host family and study at their partner school. The resulting connection between the students transcends the distance between Israel and L.A., transforms school cultures and creates a shared Jewish identity and destiny.
